Everyone wants to be happy. I’ve never known or met anyone who wants to miserable. So how can a Christian be truly happy? Does God provide such happiness? Let’s study together!
The Christian will learn that first that the key to happiness is not found in the world but in God. Thus, in order to find happiness as a Christian one must look to God and stay close to Him.
The hope of eternal life in Christ should keep the Christian happy.
20 that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them." Deu 30:20

We find several commands in this verse.
First, we are to “love the Lord your God”. This is shown by our dedication and attitude towards God.
Second, to “obey His voice”, this is simple, those who love Him will obey Him.
Third, that you “cling to Him:, this is a sign of faithfulness and great love that causes the Christian to love Him.
Fourth and lastly, “He is our life and the length of our days”. That is to say He, and He alone is our only hope of life eternal.
NO matter how hard this life may seem, when it is over we (the faithful of God) will be with the Father. This is promised in scripture many times.

This is another promise of God of rest for the faithful, which should bring us happiness also.

In order for us to find this happiness we must first come to Christ.

Being saved by the Lord should bring happiness, and it will when our attitudes and our priorities are righteous.

The Christian will do well when he or she realizes happiness is not found in the world.
Christ reminds us of such in Luke 12:15. When He reminds us there are more important aspects of life than just things.
